The Plants database handles all the information about a particular plant, it currently has five modes:
Plant Entry The Plant Entry has a number of sub-modes, each designed to group particular plant information for specific interests as well as allowing for the further expansion of the database for future development. The sub-modes being:
Main This displays as much information as possible on one window, allowing the user fast data input.
Full Image Display the main plant image as large as possible
Close Up Displays an extra close-up image (if available).
Identification Displays the full image and names which lead to identification of the plant.
Plant Info Displays the close-up image and information describing the general characteristics of the plant.
Growing Conditions Displays information regarding the best growing conditions of the plant. Also displays a view to the ancillary Germination Database.
Plant Recommendations Displays information such as recommended plant combinations, plants best feature etc. This also holds a view to the Harmonious Collections database (a shareware extra).
Pests And Diseases This is open to future development and will contain the pests and diseases of the plants and recommendations as to the removal of plant problems.
Plant View Offers the same sub-modes as plant entry but all fields are non editable.
Find Plant Allows you to find a plant based on all the main plant fields, as well as the user who created the entry, date of creation and the last user who modified the entry.
Plant List
Allows you to view all plants and those matching in a Find. Each row has a button to allow quick viewing of the desired plant.
Reports
Will hold the various reports viewing the plants including:
Weekly Information List
Flower Colours
Position Requirements.
Plant Image Cards (For selling your plants)

Here is a sample of what we are adding to the database, I intend to provide higher resolution images that this on the shareware version of this application. Click on the picture to see the actual resolution we are generating with our new digital camera. Be prepared for some serious disk space usage. Alternatively, you can work with smaller images from an alternative folder we will also provide.
